Unit 18 covered modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice - with many useful examples and tables. Again, grammar not being my strong point, really made me double guess many of my answers. Thus, I was happy to learn this was the final grammar unit. Modal auxiliary verbs and passive voice is challenging to not only teach, but for students as well; add in phrasal verbs and relative clauses - with their individual vocabulary and uses - and it become quite complicated - though the basic rules and outline was easy enough to follow. I will definitely use the suggestions for my own practice, as well as in my classroom, as I can see that the vocabulary in this unit was a bit rusty for me. The basic use rules were familiar and commonsensical, but the definitions were difficult for me to tease out. Overall it was a good review, and interesting unit, which I will continue to study independently.
