This unit allowed me to learn different methods of teaching speaking and writing skills. Something new that I learned was the categorization of teaching speaking methods. It makes sense to teach accuracy based skills before fluency based skills. I also enjoyed how this unit highlighted aspects of writing that I otherwise wouldn't have thought about such as the importance of handwriting, punctuation, and writing styles.
