In this unit I learned of the "if" conditionals (zero, first, second, third, and mixed), as well as several different teaching ideas to help students better understand them (such as split sentences, complete the conditional, and chain conditionals). I also learned the difference between direct (the actual speech that someone utters) and reported language (speech as reported by another individual who did not actually speak it), and how to convert one to the other.
