Unit16 has provided me with the ideas of teaching productive skills in students such as speaking and writing. Practice of both skills is extremely important and must be included as much us possible in every lesson. I've got to know about Accuracy activities which are the part of the study phase and concentrated on producing the correct language whereas 'fluency activities' are focused on allowing the students to experiment and be creative with language and usually a part of the activate phase. I've noted down all speaking activities in the classroom such as controlled, guided, creative as well as all the difference between them. I also discovered the reasons why many students can seem reluctant to speak in the classroom and some useful techniques to encourage interaction. I really appreciated such a detailed examples of lessons for both speaking and writing activities as well as a variety of games. About teaching writing skills I'd love to highlight the importance of creative writing and ways of its encouragement.
