This unit makes a great guide for us, teachers, to create an effective lesson plan. Not only does the unit inform us about the functions, principles or contents of the lesson plan; it also provides us with the real student worksheets and teacher's lesson plan. It is true that every teacher has a different structure of his/her lesson plan, but we should make sure that we all include a learning objective, personal aim, language point, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date and teacher's name. I also appreciate that the unit mentions how to monitor our own class and evaluate ourselves. This is extremely important for us, because we tend to focus on what we teach and forget about our own improvement and growth as teachers.
