This unit teaches us the general theories about learning and development. ie:Maturation theory, Environmental theory, Constructivism and Cognitive developmentalists .It is necessary to adapt to one particular approach or methodology which is less confusing for students and teachers : Group 1 : 5 to 9 years old (EP) the lessons are in English , student centred ,lots of repetition and drilling ,lots of activities in the Engage Phase.
Group 2 : 9 to 13 years old. The Lessons are in English ,student centered. Student talk time is the main aim of the lesson along with practice activities .For this group we follow the ESA Methology .
The learning environment and the sitting arrangement have to be smooth for the learner and the educator for maximum results . The first skill we demonstrate in L1 is speaking ,than listening .Followed by reading and writing which are interlinked .Based on the likes and dislikes , topic of interest and integrative approach ;the lesson plan can be structured so it makes more senses and the results are fruitful for the students and teachers.
