This unit has taught me about the general underlying theories of learning and development and how, in turn, this can impact the way children learn differently at different ages. It was interesting to learn about the difference between language acquisition and language learning in particular. The different approaches for different age learners were very useful and show the different kinds of activities that may work better or worse for different class ages.
This unit also highlights the importance of the learning environment, in particular, how classroom arrangements can really impact the lesson or the activities planned.
