This module touches on dealing with a variety of learners from the start of the first lesson. Building rapport with the students is important during the first lesson and to engage them through meaningful and interesting materials so students can find the motivation to learn English. Coursebook can be introduced but may not be the best thing to be used during the first lesson as it may cause students to be'scared'. Different levels of English learners' ability is needed to be considered in preparation of the lesson such that students that are slow will not feel left out and fast learners will not feel bored. A positive mindset on the students will be good as they would not want to disrupt the lesson using their native language. There must be a better reason for them to converse in their language.
