The class felt like high school all over again. This session was a great review of what I remember learning in English class but now have largely forgotten. As a native speaker, I simply use the language, feel whether a tense is the right or wrong one to use to convey my meaning, and move on. Stepping back and understanding the logic behind tense usage and sentence formation will help immensely in teaching students the subtle differences in construction that makes a huge difference in meaning.
