Unit 4 covers materials that can be used in the classroom. Authentic materials have been produced for a purpose other than the classroom (i.e. newspapers, magazines, company reports), while non-authentic have been produced by teachers or educational companies (i.e. worksheets). Authentic materials give students real world examples of using English, but may not always be grammatically correct or suitable for the student level. When using non-authentic materials, it's important to clearly convey what you expect students to do, but demonstrating is better than just explaining (elicit answers for an example, use a stronger student to play a practice round of a game, etc). The unit also reviews how to plan a lesson, and what information to include, so that you have a record of what you've done in a class, and in an emergency, another teacher would be able to clearly follow the plan.
