Knowing the language that is being taught does not mean you will be able to teach it well. This unit covered topics in regards to teaching vocabulary, introducing grammatical structures, and language functions. In my opinion, some of these topics are very important if you are looking to teach young students who are very new to the language. I think this is true because the teacher needs to provide initial vocabulary for the student to build off of. This initial vocabulary, grammar structure, and language functions are the base for the student to build their new skills from. Figuring out how to present these topics in a clear and concise can set you apart as a teacher.
