Just as the tenses of the present, the tenses of the past can be confusing to students if not more than the present ones. It is sometimes difficult for students to assimilate when to use one or another tense of verbs, so it is important for us as teachers to know this very clearly in order to be able to lead them in the right direction of learning. Sometimes we know how to use it but not how to explain it to students, which is my case. Now I know better how to describe each past tense to students.
