This is a very good unit that gives a overall idea of classroom management. It gave good examples of when to use what and what to do in certain situations. It's good to know that in a class with all 2nd language learners of English that you want to set a good balance for TTT and STT. I believe it's extremely important to be able t balance the two to help students get as much practice as possible speaking the language while hearing it often from a native speaker of English. This was something that really opened my mind and it makes a lot of sense. In regular classroom that aren't ELL there is a different mix where teachers will base their classroom management style on the types of students he or she may have. To understand that students of 2nd language learners need to practice as much as they hear it (depending on the teacher) and being able to use it in a safe environment has obvious reasons but something that I almost overlooked!
