As a native English speaker I understood every example that was in the book. This could be true for ever native speaker of English. But I must say the rules and the terminology on how each of these different types of present tenses are used was extremely difficult because I don't think about every little intricate part of the language. The four types of present tenses; present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous has been very confusing. After going through this and looking through them, it's the structure of the sentence or question that changes what type of tense they are. Specific auxiliary verbs and the combinations change the type of tense each sentence is. Then we have the negative form of these sentences. I must say this was a difficult chapter but very rewarding.
