Nowadays the use Case study in teaching regardless which subject you teach has becom very popular. I found it similar to Project work, which comprises the same steps of realization of the end product, and takes from 2 to 4 weeks for preparation. Case study is considered for one lesson and for, preferably, specialists with background knowledge. The main focuse in Case study - to solve the problem. From this unit I also learned about Problem-based learning and frameworking. Speech Act theory was something new for me. I always teach my students prelocutionary utterence. ESA strategy, in my opinion, is effective because it involves teacher's explanation, class drilling and student's personal production. Among the presented series of lesson plans Lesson 2 is more interesting to my opinion. It may be used for role playings with different settings. Thank you for useful information and sites.
