Frankly speaking I found this unit very informative. Particularly the recommendations for creating non-authentic material.
Here I would also like to mention about Lesson plan section.
I completely agree with the statement "Student understanding determines what happens in the lesson and not the plan". Some language issues may seem easy for the teachers but difficult for students to comprehend, so one cannot predict how the lesson may take turn.
I know from my own observations that not all teachers have a habit to plan their lessons, and in most cases when they are not able to conduct the next in a run lesson the other teacher has to bring in class some additional material or have games or so.
I am greateful for the webliography you share with us. I enjoyed the time to look through them.
