Unit five covered a lot of points in regards to managing a class. It talked about a lot of minor details that can make a huge difference. In my opinion, I think that a lot of the material presented in this lesson was extremely important. It is one thing to have material that you can present to the class, but it is another thing to be able to deliver that material effectively and allowing the students to benefit most from it. With the use of different pairing, classroom layout, eye contact, gestures, and non-verbal communication techniques a teacher can really make a positive impact with the students. Dealing with problem behavior was also addressed, something that every teacher will have to deal with. Tips were presented to deal with this, and I thought asking for help as a new teacher was the best advice. Some new teachers might be too shy or proud to ask for help, but getting other input is very important.
