This unit revolved around seeking employment to teach English in other countries. It talks about how to find a job, some best practices, how to model a resume and cover letter, what questions to ask during an interview, etc. It also includes some examples and online resources.
I particularly liked the section that explains the importance of knowing the cultural customs in a country, before teaching there. For example, in Thailand, it is disrespectful to pat a student on his/her head since a person’s head is considered the most spiritual part of their body. This kind of information is certainly important to know beforehand.
