Speaking and writing are productive skills which both have the same purpose that is to communicate. However, writing seems to be a neglected skill in TEFL world. Most teachers do not like quiet class and somehow writing activities often given as homework which later turn out not completed by the students because lack of guidance at home.Hence, this skill never develop as expected.It is also considered as difficult skill that needs greater accuracy. On the other hand, speaking needs greater degree of fluency and any misunderstandings can be cleared up on the spot ,unlike writing that can’t be corrected on the spot.
