This unit covered the process of teaching beginner groups and large classes. Amongst the coveted material, this unit provides many tips and techniques on managing/mitigating certain problems that may arise and in preventing them altogether. I think that the tips on handling first classes are especially important/useful because the first class is arguably the most important class. I have learnt that the first class typically sets the class atmosphere for the classes to come, creates a lasting impression of the teacher in the eyes of the student and is the best opportunity for establishing rapport with the students and teacher.
