This unit was about conditionals and reported speech. There are five forms of conditionals. Conditionals are sentences that contain an “If” which refers to past, present and future possibilities. Zero, First, Second, Third and mixed conditionals are the 5 different forms a conditional sentence can be. I learned how to form each of the five conditional sentence forms and the proper usage for each form. This unit also taught me sbout direct and reported speech. Direct speech is what is said to the initial listener and reported speech is what is relayed from the initial listener to another person who was not involved in the initial conversation. Due to this relay of information the tense is often changed from direct speech to reported speech. This unit taught me the correct way to change tense when forming sentences for reported speech.
