In this unit, we learned about teaching special groups. Some special groups are: beginners, individual students, children, business English in companies, monolingual classes and multilingual classes. For each group the unit gave tips and possible difficulties we might run into while teaching. For example, with children it is important to know that their attention span is much shorter than adults. Adults in businesses might not always be motivated as they are forced to study English for their promotion or for their function. With business students a needs analysis might need to be done. This will help understand their objectives and will help orient the lessons.
