This unit explains the different ways of teaching EFL. It addresses the positives and drawbacks of each as well as detailing where advanced students would best fit. It gives us various ways to structure a lesson [Straight Arrow, Boomerang, Patchwork] as suited to the students and the lesson to be taught and also various activities that can be used in the various stages [ Engage - Study - Activate] It also addresses feedback and correction and how positivity and encouragement are critical. Minimal correction and usage of codes are encouraged to keep the students enthused. Feedback also helps teacher evaluate student understanding and lesson success. Basic Lesson Planning is also introduced for the first time.
