This unit goes over the last grammar points included in these units. Although these units do not cover all of the grammar in the English language, it covers important points to teach students. Modals, passive/active voice, phrasal verbs and defining and non-defining relative clauses. Most modal verbs have different uses in different contexts and in my opinion this can be confusing for some students because not only do they have to focus on the meaning of the modal verb but they also have to remember how to use them. If the mechanism for the different verb tenses used in the active and passive voices is understood I think the structure in itself of the sentence is not particularly complex. In everyday speech not everyone uses the passive voice unless necessary. Phrasal verbs are very important to learn in order to understand a native speaker. They can be complicated to learn since one phrasal verb can have different meanings in different contexts and also it is not something you can learn by heart but they should be studied and introduced in context and some phrasal verbs at a time.
