This unit covered content on how to manage the most common problems an English language instructor may face in the classroom – including low student engagement, first lessons, different student levels, large classes, and use of native language, among many others. I especially learned a lot from the Large Classes section, as I currently teach in classrooms of 40 and more learners. Learning which techniques could be effective for large classes was helpful and seeing how and why each activity works. I also learned much from the section on different student levels, given that almost all of my classes have varying student levels and some students always finish before others. I learned a lot from the possible techniques that could be used to take advantage of and work with the different levels in a classroom.
