In Unit 13, the learning content covered different English classes that an English language instructor could teach, such as beginners classes, monolingual versus multilingual classes, business English classes, and others. This was especially enlightening since I learned a lot about the benefits and downfalls of a monolingual and multilingual class, and how to use the downsides to make learning more effective for students. It was also helpful to learn about business English teaching, because this is not something I am experienced in and it was helpful to read the different students and needs of this English class. The techniques and considerations needed for teaching a beginners class and young children was especially helpful – I learned a lot about the techniques a teacher should employ, especially since I will work with children the most in the future.
