This unit deals with receptive teaching. Basic skills in any language;receptive skills (reading & listening) - productive skills (speaking & writing). When dealing with receptive teaching it's important to know your class- what their interests are will help in engaging them on the topic and therefore increase their ability to want to comprehend and focus on the lesson. Vocabulary will be important & going over any words that may be troublesome is a key to success. Reading, listening, writing and discussing the subject in different ways - fill-in the blanks, question/answer sheets and comparison sentences are some ideas that will keep the class on track & engaged.
