This unit deals with in classroom teaching videos. The two videos are two examples of classroom teaching. The first being a bad example, the second a good example. I found them very interesting – video one was fairly obvious of poor classroom teaching and control. The class was intimidated with the teacher – he was not engaging with the students – didn’t know their names, talked down to them, was pressuring them for answers and not giving any type of examples to aid his lesson.
Video two was a great demonstration of a well-run classroom. The teacher was respectful to his students, called them by name; engaged with them and really listened to their responses and changed his lesson to the direction they were leading. His activities were fully engaging to his class and they appeared to enjoy their lesson.
