The material in this chapter was enlightening. One aspect of this chapter that I feel will help me a lot in my future is when and what to correct vs when and what not to correct. This is because I feel that when correcting students, teachers must tip-toe on a very thin line as to not discourage their students from wanting to continue their language learning but a teacher must correct the mistakes made by the students so that they do not have mistakes ingrained in their language. Furthermore, the ESA method of teaching seems useful and easy to follow and would apply to students of all ages, however, I believe that for adults, the teacher may not have to spend as much time on the engage phase of a lesson as the teacher would for a class of younger students. This is because children learning a language are more likely to have a shorter attention span and may not want to be taking the class, however, for an adult, they will most likely want to be in class and have a higher attention span.
