This Unit is about some of the most common situations an english teacher can encounter and suggestion on how to deal with these problems. The first part is about the challenges of a first lesson. Having a new group or an existing group can bring challenges so the teacher should work on establishing rapport with the students. Warmers are a great tool to make students feel more comfortable with the teacher and with the new classmates. The second problem is having classes formed of students with different levels of english. the third problem is large classes. Fourth is the use of the native language. Then reluctant students and last difficulties with listening texts.
