I can relate to this topic due to the fact that I have had some major issues with the textbooks that I have been given by my schools in the past. They tend to have several errors in them plus the book is very basic and a lot of the subjects simply are not interesting and would make the lessons boring. Consequently, I create my own topics which have worked wonders so far in my lessons this year at both of the middle schools that I teach at. The receptions that I have received from my students have been very positive ones and overall, I am pleased with the way they have gone. This, however, wouldn't have happened if I used the course book.
