I have looked at some course books over the years and I have seen many books that do not teach at the level it says for the students. ESL Students do not understand the material, and most of the time they have a hard time pronouncing words in the book at the very beginning. It's upsetting as a teacher because you basically need to plan your whole lesson all over again. There are some books that are helpful and you can use parts of the chapters to help with the lesson. Unfortunately, most kids do not have the passion for language learning, so we need to spice up the lessons with actives and fun games.
