Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

Before I began this unit, I thought it would be very easy. The importance of lesson planning is a no-brainer! However, the questions regarding the Engage, Study, or Activate phases stumped me. For some, it was hard for me to decipher whether or not the example fit in the engage or study phase of a lesson. Furthermore, there were some aspects in this lesson plan format that I have never included in my own lesson plans, such as the timing for each activity. I think this is a great strategy to help keep the teacher organized and on task. When creating and carrying out a lesson, it is always important to think of future problems or challenges, so that you may discuss it with the students. It is also essential to have a variety of activities, so that all learning styles are met. Additionally, it is important to be flexible! A lesson may not always work out how you want it to, or the students may go in a completely different direction! One question in this assessment surprised me. Question #4 states that the age of the students does not matter when lesson planning. I disagree with that. In order to be an effective teacher, especially in primary school, one needs to know the developmental stages of the students. I work with younger students and older, but cannot always use the same lessons, as they are not suitable for both ages. As a teacher, it is essential to be reflective and always think about what works and what doesn't.
