A classroom environment containing different teaching equipment is critically important as they aid in making lessons more interesting. there are many different resources that can be found in classrooms or study centers like white/black boards, interactive whiteboards, CD player, dictionaries, resource books, computers to name a few. The board is one of the most important things to have in a classroom or a flipchart as it is used to help layout your lesson plans through writing, drawing, sticking thins , and to even project images. through this medium the students attention is drawn and known to be very effective. The interactive whiteboard also known as the smart board are however being increasingly used in the private and the government funded schools to help increase the interests of the students and make teaching more fun. In the present age of sciences and technology, the process of teaching and learning also depends on the latest technology. Teaching becomes interesting when a teacher uses different teaching materials because it directly involves student in the teaching- learning process. It makes lessons enjoyable and memorable. Teaching materials are key factor in creating effective teaching and learning environments. There are many different types of teaching aids that can be used in class.
Visual: Visual aids use sense of vision. It includes actual objects, charts, maps, flash cards, pictures, flannel board, white board, flip charts, models etc.
Audio: Audio aids are common teaching tool which include classroom stereo system, individual
head sets, radio etc. In languages class, teachers use recordings to demonstrate how the language is spoken. It is used as a recreational activity. It involves the sense of hearing.

Using newspapers as well can help in the development of students reading skills. Selection of newspaper material is also very important because it strengthen creative writing, knowledge of structure and grammar. Improvisation is an interaction which can improve the students communicative ability. It helps to enhance language skills and real life communication in a student. They enjoy learning in playful method through imitation, dramatizing, singing and through dancing which can be seen as a natural aid.
