In Unit 15, I learned about the many different types of tests that teachers can give out through a course, as well as the international standardized tests that can be taken outside of a course for certifications. I didn't know the difference between diagnostic tests and placement tests until after reading this lesson. Diagnostic tests are given at the beginning of the course, similar to the placement test, but diagnostic tests test the student on what they don't know. Some of the external exams I learned about were the TOEFL, Cambridge assessments, and Trinity College London test.
