In Unit 14, I learned about course books, authentic materials, and created materials. Course books give a set syllabus and pattern throughout the entire book, which I think can be good for beginning students to build a foundation upon. Created materials help with both fixing course books and creating new material that applies to your students specifically. I learned that created materials are a good way to add on to course book materials or even to redo a lesson that isn't fit for the students.
