Unit 17 expands on teachers using equipment and teaching aids in the classroom. Teachers can display information on a variety of equipment from overhead projectors, to chalkboards, to interactive white boards. Much of this depends on what is available in the classroom. Good practices to have when writing on boards are to write nicely, prepare ahead of time what parts of the board are used for specific teaching items, not to write in all caps, and to erase as you go. The unit then discussed using visual and audio aids, from CD players to realia to showing movie clips. Then many helpful websites were given for teachers to use in classroom, prepare materials and games, and share with students. It was forewarned that some of the sites were no longer available, like tewtjournal. Some just need to redirect to home page like letslets.com, while others just need to try again like fredriley.org.uk.
