*The modal verbs: include can, could, may, might, shall, , should, must, have to, have got to, need to and ought to. They are used with other verbs to express ability, obligation, possibility, and so on. *Passive voice: The passive voice is used to show interest in the person or object that experiences an action rather than the person or object that performs the action. In other words, the most important thing or person becomes the subject of the sentence. *Relative clauses: - Defining relative clauses: we use defining relative clauses to give essential information about someone or something – information that we need in order to understand what or who is being referred to. A defining relative clause usually comes immediately after the noun it describes. - Non-defining relative clauses: we use non-defining relative clauses to give extra information about the person or thing. It is not necessary information. We don’t need it to understand who or what is being referred to. *Prasal verb: a phrasal verb is a verb that is made up of a main verb together with an adverb or a preposition, or both. Typically, their meaning is not obvious from the meanings of the individual words themselves. * I have learnt from this unit: When teaching passive voice, i should cut up varied active/passive sentences and get students to match them. This activity will help my students to understand quickly this content because they have to practice much.
