I am in agreement with both the concepts of having a Course Book or and of having Created Materials. I suppose having a mixture of both would be ok, but more leaning towards the creative part. In going through the past 14 of Unit materials, the ESA has made a lot of sense. I think the interaction and elicit, engage, study and activate seems more of created materials, excluding of course Work Sheets and other handouts for the study phases. More Group Interaction with teacher follow up of course is necessary. As for me in my line of work, it is always power point presentations, short words for description and heavy use of pictures, Safety Focused. Then I use each frame to elicit a response from the group. My courses are always Safety Focused, so a little different than teaching English, but do need to speak slowly, look around the room to see if people are understanding.
