It is true that the written word will be the most difficult in teaching as it does take longer and as stated, some languages are written with different characters and alphabet. I did find it interesting that Homework was not something teachers want to do as it is more difficult to control, meaning the student not completing the task. The Engage, Study Activate Phases are a reoccurring theme throughout the Unit lesson and a good foundation.
