What I learned was how important it is to engage the students to make them feel comfortable & at ease with the teacher. This includes smiling and making sure not to use unnecessary gestures that can confuse students. To be patient and connect with students in a kind gentle manner so they can feel safe to answer when asked questions. I definitely learned that giving positive feedback is so important and never talking down to students referring to a winner group and loser group was I know an example of what not to do that could be expanded to many other words that would only hurt the students confidence and i would not want to do that.
