I have learned why is is necessary to lesson plan especially for beginning teachers. It makes things more organized and can give a new teacher the confidence to do the lesson. It is important to be well prepared, but flexible. It is not good to be too prepared and rehearsed. That will just make teaching the class more difficult because you can't predict exactly how the students will react. Being flexible and having an adaptable lesson plan will benefit the students learning the most.
