This unit is about some common problems situations that teachers may encounter in the classes and some sugessted way to deal with the problems.Here are some problems: first lesson , warmers,different levels,large classes, use of native language,reluctant students,difficulties with listening texts.In the first lesson, instead of practing grammar or drilled exercises, teachers are suggested to establish rapport with students and among students, find out more information such as job,needs, hobbies and interests, then find out students' lanuguage levels. For the classes with different levels students, teachers can use different materials or the same materials with different tasks. Optional exercises are highly recommended for strong students.For some relunctant students, teachers can use plenty of pairwork,comtrolled practice and role-play to arouse students' interest and even use a tape recorded to record what they want to say outside the lessons.
