This unit talks about classroom management. We learn how to use eye contact, gesture and the voice during the lessons, what are the possible ways to group the students, how to arrange the classroom. Organizing classroom is not just seating arrangement - one of the most important factors is also the position of the teacher. The unit gives us advice on writing on the board, giving individual attention and managing teacher and student talking time. It is also important to know how to give instructions well; using simple language, checking the instructions, being consistent, and using the visual clues. We have to be able to establish a good rapport between the teacher and the students and make a good atmosphere in class. If we want our lessons to be effective, we need to maintain discipline in class and be able to manage the possible behavioral problems.
