This unit focused on the difference in teaching young learners as well as business English learners. Younger learners tend to be more absorbent but have a very short attention span. To keep boredom away, teachers must have a variety of different teaching tools and activities that can be used constantly throughout each lesson to keep students engaged. Young learners also require lots of praise for good work and they can be attention seeking at times as well. For business English it is important to remember that you may have a group of learners from different places who ONLY share English as a common language. This can be an advantage in the classroom seeing as the English language would be the only options for students to use when communicating with one another.
