This unit extensively covered all the equipment that can be used to help teach lessons in the classroom. One that came as a surprise to me was the video camera. This can be used for certain projects in the classroom as well as for analysis and discussion of a class activity. Interactive whiteboards are also very good tools to use in the classroom. Regular boards are also still very efficient tools. It is important to note that with a white board, when accenting certain terms, you do NOT want to capitalize the letters, as they are much more difficult for students to read. Cassette recorders, DVDs/videos, and work cards are also very beneficial tools as well. It's important to keep a variety of these materials handy throughout each lesson because using the same method and teaching tools can become predictable and far less intriguing.
