The teacher is not supposed to fully depend on the coursebook, but there are ways to make good use of it. The coursebooks are generally created for a wider range of students, hence, it would not be enough for our students and we have to adapt and specify it according to the needs of our students. Authentic materials help students gain confidence by helping them interact with real life materials, but the teacher must select them carefully and take into account their level of English.
