In this unit I have learned how to test a students ability before starting the class. I have looked at some examples of placement tests and how these would work in the classroom. I think it is important that all students are assessed at the beginning of a course to ensure that the lessons will be tailored to their needs, but also to ensure that they will get the most out of the class.
I have looked at the different examinations that the students may need to take and why they would be taking them. It would then be possible to give students exam practise that is relevant to their examination.
