What are specialized TESOL courses?
If you are looking to increase your teaching knowledge and your employability, one or more of our specialised TESOL courses might be just what you need. The Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners (CTEYL), the Certificate in Teaching Business English (CTBE), and the Certificate in Teaching English Online (CTEO) are all designed to take your teaching career to the next level.
Can I take a specialized TESOL course without prior TESOL certification?
Our specialized courses are specifically designed to build on the topics that are covered in a standard TESOL certification course so an existing TESOL certification is usually necessary. If you already have extensive experience in English language teaching then exceptions to this rule may be granted. However, if you do not have an existing qualification, we are currently offering our CTEYL or CTBE course for free when you sign up for our 120-hour TESOL certification course with tutor support.
How will I receive the specialized TESOL course study materials?
All of our specialized courses are completed entirely online and all necessary materials are accessed via our online training system.
How are the specialized TESOL courses assessed?
These online courses are divided into six individual units that you can work on one at a time. After each unit you will complete an assessment via a short online test. Once all six units and their corresponding tests are successfully completed, you then complete the course by submitting a summative task for assessment. Upon completion of all sections of the course, you will receive your CTEYL, CTBE, or CTEO certification.
How quickly can I finish the specialized TESOL courses?
If you are in a real hurry it is theoretically possible to complete these courses in as little as one week, however, the average completion time is around three to five weeks. The maximum time frame for these courses is six months.
