TEFL Courses in Darwin | Australia

The far north of Australia is where you will find the tropical, laid-back community of Darwin. The city is known for its stress-free lifestyle, hot climate, stunning sunsets, and an outdoor way of life that takes advantage of the cooler evening temperatures. Despite its small size and population in comparison to other major cities in the country, Darwin is home to a diverse multicultural society and a proud indigenous culture.

The training center is housed within the lush surroundings of Darwin University. Although the campus is a peaceful place to hang-out, you can take a break at anytime and head to the nearby Casuarina beach and nature reserve where you can unwind among the natural beauty of the far north. During your course you will likely become familiar with the local institution known as ‘The Number 4 Bus’ that operates in the area for only A$7 a week.

The School

The Darwin CELTA center has been working with the university for several years with the aim of delivering high quality ELICOS and Academic English programmes that will help the international student population to reach their own academic goals. To provide the best service possible we ensure all our teachers and senior management have a high level of teaching experience and qualifications. This is particularly important as a fundamental part of the CELTA course is observing the course tutors teaching real lessons in an English language classroom.

Accommodation

The most popular accommodation with trainees is our great value university housing that is competitively priced at only A$262.50 for 28-days. You can start your search by looking online at sites such as Gumtree and the Facebook group called Darwin Buy Sell Swap Wanted. Airbnb also has a wide choice of apartments and other options in the local area.
